Imelda Akmal

Imelda Akmal Architecture Writer (IAAW)

Imelda Akmal is an architect who dedicates her life to write architecture and interior books. She established Imelda Akmal Architectural Writer Studio in accordance with her commitment to introduce Indonesian architects and their works both to national and international public through her books. With 15 years of experience, she has written more than 70 books, many of which becomes best-seller.

Jun Mitsui, AIA, JIA

Principal of Jun Mitsui & Associates Architects and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects Japan

After graduating from Tokyo University, Jun Mitsui worked in Japan until 1982. After he received his Master of Architecture from Yale University in 1984, he practiced at Cesar Pelli & Associates, Inc. until 1992. He returned to Tokyo in as a principal of Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects Japan and went on to found Jun Mitsui & Associates, Architects in 1995.  Jun Mitsui is a member of AIA, JIA and Japan Architects Academy, and is a licensed architect in both Japan and the United States. He and his firm have been honored with numerous architectural awards.

Ahmad Djuhara

Principal of djuhara+djuhara

Graduated from Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung in 1991. Ahmad Djuhara has worked in Jakarta as an architect at PAI (1992-1998), a brief experience as interior designer at Procon Indah (1998), and as architect again at Jeffrey Budiman Architects (1999-2001). He created Firma Arsitektur Ahmad Djuhara (2001-2004), until he established djuhara + djuhara with his wife, Wendy Djuhara in 2004. He has been active and holds important roles in several organizations, including the Young Indonesian Architects (AMI), Jak@art 2001-2003, Indonesian Architects Institute (IAI), where he became chairman of the IAI Jakarta (2006-2009), Modern Asian Architecture Network (mAAN), and Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). He also teaches at the Architecture Department of Pelita Harapan University since 2006. He has also won a Citation from the IAI Award 2002 for his project, Sugiharto Steel House, and the IAI Award 2008 for the Pondok Gede House.

Kumiko Homma  
Kumiko Homma is a PhD candidate in Comparative Civilizations Studies at Rikkyo University. Since 2008 she has lived in Bandung, Indonesia for the field research. Her focus is the permanence of Bandung city through the works of a Dutch colonial architect C.P. Wolff Schoemaker.

Danny Wicaksono

Principal of studio dasar

Graduated in 2006 from Trisakti University. On March 2007, he joined mamostudio as assistant architect to Adi Purnomo. Having work for 3 years, he then resigned from mamostudio to work for Andramatin Architects for a brief period of April 2010-August 2010. Immidiately after, he established studio dasar. He is also the co-founder and Editor in-chief of jongArsitek!, a free-online architecture e-magazine.
